This shipment was specifically customized to meet the high-precision requirements of local aerospace and defense industry customers, marking another significant step forward for our factory in expanding into the North American high-end stainless steel tubing market.
13-8PH (UNS S13800) is a precipitation-hardening stainless steel. Tubing manufactured according to the AMS-5629 standard possesses excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. This material contains 13% chromium, 8% nickel, and 2% aluminum, and after heat treatment, its tensile strength can reach 1380 MPa, and its yield strength can reach 1240 MPa.
This material exhibits excellent toughness at room temperature, absorbing impact energy ≥60 J, making it an ideal material for manufacturing critical components such as aircraft hydraulic system piping, missile guidance system structural parts, and high-pressure sensor housings. Each section of the pipe undergoes rigorous ultrasonic testing and dimensional accuracy testing, with outer diameter tolerance controlled within ±0.05mm and wall thickness tolerance within ±0.02mm, fully complying with the stringent standards of the US aerospace industry.
To ensure the quality of the AMS-5629 stainless steel pipe (13-8PH, UNS S13800) during transportation, our factory uses vacuum-sealed packaging, coated with anti-rust oil, and lined with shock-absorbing foam to effectively prevent oxidation and mechanical damage during long-distance sea and land transportation. This shipment will first arrive at the Port of Baltimore and then be transported by land to the customer's warehouse in Washington, D.C.
